You start capture
Capture begins only after you explicitly choose a tab and start a session. There is no automatic capture upload.
Local-first browser tooling
Joshu is a Chromium browser extension for developers and QA engineers. It captures supported API activity only after you start capture for a selected tab, and keeps captures in extension-local browser storage.
How Joshu works
Joshu—named after the Japanese word 助手, meaning assistant or helper—supports focused API inspection without a developer-operated data backend.
Capture begins only after you explicitly choose a tab and start a session. There is no automatic capture upload.
Captures and settings remain in extension-local browser storage unless you deliberately export or copy reviewed content.
Joshu has no accounts, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or developer-operated backend.
Two capture modes
Standard capture stores sanitized request metadata without retaining bodies. Automatic API discovery adds explicit per-session consent and can retain bounded, sanitized JSON previews when the browser makes them available.
